Okay, I can't believe it has been 14 years!!!

We got engaged 14 years ago today.

Here is our story:
Jeff and I both went to American River Junior College.
We both attended the LDS Institute of Religion too.
We were both involved the Institutes' Fraternity and Sorority.
We had seen each other in passing and he would say Hi. I said Hi back. I really didn't mind cute guys saying Hi to me.

At one of the Sorority activities we invited the fraternity guys to come and we all had to bring a date. It wasn't Jeff, I brought a friend. Bob.. no sorry Bawb. He was funny. But not as cute as Jeff. And that is who I chatted with all night.
Jeff ate all my brownies I had brought. He was so sweet.

He got my phone mumber from a friend and waited 2 weeks to call me.
March 12th 1994:
On our first date, was awesome. We double dated with a friends of mine. Terry Knootz and Nicole McCallister. Nicole and I giggled all through dinner. We were so stoked I was on a date with the cutest guy in Fraternity.
We went bowling and then to a Young Adult dance at the church and then out for Leatherby's ice cream. We both got bubblegum ice cream and decided it was gross and my dog would eat it.
He hugged me goodnight.

I saw him the next day at my brothers Missionary farewell. We spent the rest of the day together at my house. He played Uno with me and my sister an my ex-boyfriend, Brady Ellsworth. (The Brady came to say goodbye to my brother. He even told me to marry Jeff.)
Jeff stayed for dinner and and scored brownie points with my mom by taking out the trash.
He kissed me that night. I had to ask for it. It was a nice return missionary kiss. Too funny.

We dated everyday for the rest of the week.
At the end of the first week we realized we were in love.
Yes, love. He just fit into every thing I ever wanted.

A few days later my family was packing for our annual beach camping trip to San Clemente Beach. My mom asked if Jeff was going to come. After the shock of that, I asked him to come. He didn't have a job at the time, his parents weren't thrilled but gave him some money to go.

March 30th 1994 -
After a stroll on the beach away from my family. Jeff and I were making out! (yes, we did that stuff) and we got to talking, I asked him never to leave me.
He said "Well, I guess we will have to get married"
I said...well I just kissed him. And he asked if that was a yes, I asked him to ask me offically, and then I said yes.
So 2 weeks and 5 days after our first date, we got engaged.
I love you Jeff. Forever.

This picture is from the day that we got engaged. (Later that night)

This is the Lo I made a while back. Don't laugh. It was one of my HOF enteries. tee hee. From 2004

Guess what I got to do today...?

I got to play. I had to make some swap items for a Valentines Swap.
They are very late.
But I am so glad that I got them done today. What a relief! WHew!
Wanna see?
Okay, the first one is a Journal Box. I made this with Bo-Bunny paper. the little pink heart is an acrylic heart from Heidi Grace. The little green flower is Prima, and the ribbons I got from Wal-mart. I also used some pink stickles. I love that stuff.
I also used my Cricut to cut all the hearts. I used George.
For both items we had rules, we could only do 2 techniques and 3 Embellishments. That was easy for me. Less is always more.
For this Journal Box, I used patterened paper from Doodle Bug. The ribbon is from Wal-mart. The buttons are just some I had laying around. The hearts at the top are Doodle Bug rub-ons. I used a little stamp from Stampin' Up! and the little flower sticker is from Doodle Bug too. I used the same Cricut font to make the squares for this Journal box.

I hope every one likes them.

Now I get to pack them up and get them ready to mail to Utah! yay!!!

Nothing exciting going on

More pink eye. Yay.

The boys camped in the back yard with Jeff in the freezing rainy/slushy weather. they had a blast. Dad took them all to the store and they got stuff for s'mores. Dad built a fire in the back yard. I am still not sure that is allowed. They watched a movie in the tent until the DVD player died. Slept all night until Zoey barked at some passerbys at 7am. I have never seen them so happy. It will be one thing they will always remember. In the end it meant more laundry for Mom.

The next morning they had more s'mores. And then mom made pancakes.

Emma ventured off the big brown rug in our front room and crawled herself down the hallway.

She is cutting 2 new teeth on the top and is just so much fun.

I am not getting any scrapbooking or creativeness done. And that makes me cranky.

I was thinking of going for a position on the design team at All My Memories .

But I haven't been able to work on anything at all. Plus, I have no idea what Altered Item to make.

Jeff went back to work after a 4 day weekend. (which means for him - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)

The days of Spring break are coming to a close yay!

And that makes it all worth it.

Thank you Easter Bunny

Our Easter 2008 was filled with lots of things:

1. The Kids colored Eggs Saturday night.
2. The Easter Bunny Came.

3.We missed Church because Emma had Pink eye.
4. We cleaned... I should say I cleaned the house all day and cooked dinner and played "the hostess with the most-est". and It was grand.
5. The candy I thought the Easter bunny brought too much of was gone from their baskets by the end of the day.
6. We waited for Dad to do an Egg hunt and didn't even hide the ones we colored.

It was great.

I missed my family so desperately. and I was looking forward to seeing my family.

But as I sit here I am sick and can't go. It would be too dangerous to be around my Dad with a cold.

I just wanna cry.

But I will share our Easter pictures and show you my favorite one.

It is of Emma and her very first Easter basket. She loved it.

Such a cool story.

It was Easter Sunday and jeff's parents were on thier way for dinner...
This new guy int he ward just called me on Sunday while I was feeding Emma. he wanted to see our house. I though it was odd. something hit me. I knew his wife would be gone for Easter so I invited him for aster dinner. I thought it sucked to be away from your family for a holiday. So before I realized what I was doing I inveited him. I never do that kind of thing and I have never even met him before.
I figured he could finally meet Jeff, since they work at the same place. And since this ward has invited Jeff over while I was gone when we first moved here, I thought I would return the favor.
I almost called to back out when jeff didn't get home when he was suppose to. which only meant one thing, he had to work overtime. But jeff's parents would be there so it was okay.
here's an interesting story.
Jeff's brother Steve died about 8 years ago. His parents have been looking for one of his missionary companion to let him know that Steve died. They never could find him.
I informed my in-laws that I invited some one else over for dinner too. They were fine with it, no problem. They found out he was from Modesto, CA. That just happened to be were Steve's missionary companion was from.
She asked, if he knew of someone by the last name of Bingham.
He said yes, his wife was a Bingham.
She asked "do you know a Jeff Bingham?"
He said yes, that is his wife's brother.
Whoa!
I know, totally cool. They have been trying to find this guy for 8 years.
If he hadn't come over for dinner, if I hadn't acted on impluse and invited some one I don't even know... So cool.
they exchanged email addresses and they will be able to chat with him soon.
You wanna here somthing really funny.....when he first called he was calling the wrong house.
He thought he was calling someone else.
Too funny.

I hate Spring Break!

Don't get me wrong I love my boys, I really do. But spring break means drama and yelling and fighting and just pure H&%# for me.
Oh man... with the boys and them fighting....ugh, I just hate it.
I have to keep them busy, whilst i clean up my house over and over again for family.
and then I do it all over again. where is the break for me?
Seriously, if you don't here from me by Monday, I have run away to the funny farm...haa haa hooo hooooo heee heee....and left my boys to beat the crap out of each other. I mean, they are gonna if I am here or not.

We've got the PINK!!!!

Yes, we have gotten the "Pink Eye" fungus thingy.
I didn't take a picture of Caleb, because ... well that is just gross.
You could barley tell anyway.
and what really freakin makes me mad is the teacher was out from school with pink eye LAST Monday for 3 DAYS and we got NO NOTE HOME!!!!!
No warning, no, "keep an eye out" (no pun intended). Okay well we did get a note home, on Friday. After I picked up Caleb early from school, telling me he might have pink eye.
I have 4 more children, that I now have to worry about getting it.
I have to completely clean every FREAKIN thing. All Day LONG!!!!
I am already tired from Emma getting shots and cutting a tooth. Now this!!!!
Okay vent over Or... maybe not.
If you read this and you are in my ward. This could be the reason why I am not at church.
Trust me I want to go to church. I don't want to home with these... little people.
I hate the weekends and vacation. They are just horrible little creatures,(Emma excluded, she is wonderful) They are gross, and they beat each other up, and they say mean and awful things to me and I don't want them messing up my house.
But when Jeff works on Sunday and one of the little creatures or I gets sick, I HAVE to stay home. I am not gonna be known as the lady who always brought her kids to church sick and got every one else's kids sick.
I like church, I really, really do. Going to church makes me happy. And not just because the people there are nice to me. They are polite and they are quiet and they smell good and they smile and don't not beat each other up. I miss church.
SO if you don't see me for a while it is because one or more of my children or even myself, might have contracted this "pink Eye"
Or it could be I have just lost my mind and I can't find it.
Please feel free to stop by and help me find it. But i warn you, in the process of finding mine, you just might lose yours too.

Update on my Dad.

he is doing well. the surgery ended up being on Friday. It took 10 1/2 hours.
There was a lot of scar tissue and they ended up with a quadruple bypass.
They took the tubes out yesterday. And he is talking, but very, very little.
I wish I could have been there. but I know my Dad understands why.
I will see him in a few week, I hope.
I love you Daddy.

I have to say out loud a huge thank you to my family who was able to be there for my parents and all they did to keep my mom sane.
Thanks you guys, you are the best.

My Dog...okay, our dog...okay fine, she's Jeff's dog

This is Zoey.
She is a good dog.
She loves to be comfortable. We had to get her a 4x4 foot pillow for her to sleep on so she would stop sleeping on my couch.
She hates water and anything with getting wet, even being snowed on.
She doesn't mind the snow to run in,or when she has to bark at people, or when she is playing with the boys but she would rather be inside.
She loves cereal left on the floor. Especially Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs.
She loves to play with the boys outside.
She hates it when Sammy wants to play with her.
And she is a good guard dog.
She LOVES Jeff. She waited by the door yesterday after Jeff took the boys to the park. She whined and moaned almost the whole time they were gone. She was so put out that they didn't take her. She is too funny.
We love Zoey.

Okay, do I Scrapbook? yes I do that.

Pictures 2, 3 and 4 are pictures of how I store my ribbon.

Pictures 5 and 6 are pictures of my tic tac case where I hold my brads and eylets and shaped brades and button and pins.

I love Jane Austin

I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Pony Tails

I finally remembered to pick up some elastics hair thingys for Emma. Her hair on top is so long I am constantly pushing her hair back off of ther forehead and out of her eyes.
So this morning when the boys saw the little box of hair bands, they asked
"mom what's that?" Too funny!
So I picked her up , grabbed a hair thing, and presto-chango.....
Her very first ponty tail!
Now to most of you out there it is not a first. But i have been waiting a very long time to be able to do this.
She might even have one tomorrow too.
yep, I think so. Maybe even with some ribbon around it.
I can't wait for the day of 2 little pig tails.
Yay!

Okay so just as I click publish post...

I remembered.

My Dad is really sick.
He is in the hospital, and they know something (I forget the name of it, but it is connected to his heart) is leaking and he is going to have open heart surgery.
He has had open heart surgery before. He had Enodcarditis 7 1/2 years ago and they fixed him up really good.
They had one of the best heart surgeons in the country fixing the problem.
The worst part for me, is that I am here in the stupid little town, 4 freakin' HOURS away from my Daddy.
I just wanna give him a hug. I am afraid to call him. I will just cry the entire time and I will make him cry.
I know he is gonna be okay. He got a priesthood blessing .
My mom is not freaking out. She feels he will be fine.
She is really sad that he has to go through all of this again.
I guess my brother Shane will be in Sacramento for the surgery.
I wish I could be there.
I know he will be fine. If my mom is not worried then I am not worried.

Okay So I was gonna post... I dunno... somethin'

But I am so flamin' tired from lack of sleep that I have completely forgotten what I was gonna post about.
I guess I will have to come back when I remember.
