We are GOING HOME!!!!

No, we aren't moving home.... dang nabbit!
But we do get to go home for a visit.
We don't have to worry about Jeff's work since he is on workman's comp.
We don't have to worry about school.
The only thing holding us back is Matthew being at scout camp.
As soon as he gets home we are washing all his stuff and then packin his bag.
WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!
I am so excited.
I would sooooo leave if I could.
right Now.... after I hit publish post.....

OH MY Heck... check out this yummy-ness...

On my friend Danielle's blog she has a link posted.
The most delious cakes I have ever seen.
I love baking and I love seeing all kinds of cakes.

These are so cute.... they look so yummy too!

There is more go check out the cite and check all the blog archives...... Oh my GOSH!!!!!

But check this out!

14 years ago today...

I did this.

Yep, I married the BEST GUY EVER.
Happy Anniversary Jeff, I love you more than you could ever imagine to know.
You are everything and I am so happy to be your wife.

Married June 24th 1994, Oakland Temple, Oakland California.

We had our Wedding Reception a week later July 2.

(I got to wear my wedding dress twice)

This was just hours after he proposed. My little sister Carrie, only 12 at the time took this picture. She did a good job. (This was before digital cameras too.)

He proposed on a family beach trip in San Clemente, which is not far from the San Diego Temple. Jeff went inside the temple and I waited outside and prayed to know if getting engaged so soon after just dating 2 weeks and 5 days, was a good thing.

Yes, it was good.

It has been a whirl wind of adventures these 14 years, it is a grand story and the best thing to ever happen to me.

Isn't Jeff a Hottie? He still is to me.

Who's that skinny girl?

My Baby is at Scout camp!!!!

My oldest Matthew is at Scout camp for a week.
A WHOLE WEEK!
I have a love/hate relationship with this dumb idea that they need to go away for a week.
Yes, I know.
It will help Matthew mature. He needs this to get scout stuff done. He is 12 and a half. He will be fine.
But he doesn't think like most 12 and a half year old boys think. He is a little..... okay a lot A.D.D. And he is medicated. He doesn't think... at all sometimes.
My mother called form the Caribbean and I told he the stupid things he had done just a few days before this trip to camp and she told me that "all 12 year old boys are....... STUPID.
He will be fine amongst other STUPID boys."
Thanks Mom, but it didn't make me feel better.
All these horrible things raced through my head.
If all of them are stupid then all of them will either kill each other or them selves.
How am I going to make it through the week f not knowing if he is okay.... or not. I mean I know they will call, and every time the phone rings I am just waiting for it to be his scout leader telling me there is something wrong.
You know I did the math.... If all four of my boys go to scout camp every year, and they will all go 7 times each, then I will be doing this 28 times.
That is 14 years of Scout camp straight.
That is a lot of Scout Camp.
This is just the beginning!
Poor Sam, by the time it gets down to him, I won't worry at all..... okay you are right . It is Sam, I will worry more than anyone.... even Matthew.
I am kicking myself that I didn't get up to get a picture of him with his pack on. Emma was sick and not feeling good at all so I missed it. Jeff got a picture of him with Matthew's camera but I won't see it until we get the film developed. (I didn't trust him with a digital camera)

Well, he is very well missed, and not just by me.
Sammy keeps asking where Matthew is and when he is coming home.
Nathan has been cranky all day.... oh wait... that is normal and Caleb... well they all miss him. they hate having to help with his chores.
I miss that he can help me with Emma. She does miss him.
Jeff hasn't said much, but I think he misses him too.
I really miss him.
I will go now and not sleep.... do you think he is okay?

How do you like it?

Do you like the new look of my blog?
Do you think it will do?
I LOVE it!
Well, It was a pain to re-do everything.
And it took me a few hours, but only because blogger was not working and Emma who has a cold was crying and I had to make dinner and attempt Mount Bigney again.
But we got most of it all done.

On another note -
this house is getting reorganized from one end to the other.
We are moving to the house I posted about earlier and I wanna get rid of stuff and pack up unused things.
Sunday I got so sick of the boys and their room, I took all of their toys away.
I gave them one tub of toys and packed up the rest. they play PS2 most of the time anyway or they are outside. We went through their closet and have a nice pile for a garage sale. yay!
I am planning on going through a room a day. tT
Today we conquered our room... okay well Jeff did most of it. (When get gets on a role. He didn't move anything heavy he just cleaned the whole bathroom and then hung up all the clothes, Bigney Hill, a small mountain of laundry that just had to be hung up in my room).
I was gonna help, but I made dinner, they all wanted home made macaroni and cheese and fish sticks. (Jeff and I had had a fillet of cod and carrots, dinner was so good.)
That took time and with Emma not napping and the boys acting up and.... anyway. he did most of the work. I owe him big time.
Tomorrow is finishing my room and the hallway/linen closet and Wednesday is Emma's room.
Then the kitchen and front room... eek...will I get it all done?
I need more boxes to pack stuff in.

I hope you all enjoy the new look I know I do.
Wish me luck on the huge mountain of Laundry still to wash. I just cleaned the boys room and I have to conquer that too.

We have Internet DOWN!.... Internet Down!

Man oh man.... It has been the longest week ever. Our interent was working one day and not the next day.
On one minute and off the next.... I lost an entire Email to my sister-in-law Karin because it worked while I was typing, but when I hit send it was gone.... Lost in to the internet obilvion....
SO sad... it was a very good email.
Anyway...
We found out on Tuesday.... okay truth be told... Jeff found out on Sunday and never told me and then I found out on tuesday that Matthew is going to Scout camp on MONDAY MORNING!!!!
Yeah, thanks!
We had to get a physical and all this other crap we needed for his trip. I hate living so far from a real town... No offense Susanville.... But we had to get everythign at Walmart.
An making sure his prescription was filled....which by the way I had already called about on Monday... that is still an issue.
I am not sure if I should let him go. This is gonna be hard on me.
I worry..... but you knew that.

Okay.....I may be in trouble for this.

But really, this is how I feel.
A really awesome friend of mine was posting on her blog and she shared my same feelings about a certain major issue in the US today. Mostly in the state of California. But because of this new thing for Same Sex marriages it might change the US completely.
here is what she had to say.
http://kasigood.typepad.com/living_the_good_life/2008/06/okay-here-i-go.html
Thank you Kasi for voicing this. I have been trying to explain how I feel about this issue in the right way.

Some of you might be surprised and might not.
But really...does it really matter?
My tiny little opinion isn't going to changed the world.
So if you have anything mean to say.... listen to what your Momma taught you....
"If you don't have anything nice to say .... don't say anything at all"

Pink Birthday for Emma!

She's one..... I can't believe she is one years old.
My sweet baby girl is one.
I can't believe it has been a year already.
Her birthday was Friday the 13th.(no, I'm not superstitious)
It was a great day.
My parents came up from Sacramento to help celebrate.
We decided to go to the lake and we invited a bunch of friends.
She got a bunch of new toys from mom and dad and a lot of books from grandma and grandpa.
Books are her favorite.
She got a pushing/ride-on toy, and when she pushes the nose it makes music, which she loves and she dances. (She is sounding a lot like her Momma right now).
She doesn't ride-on it yet, since she is not even WALKING!!!! I wish she would hurry up. She is on the brink and just yesterday took 5 steps at church, (which I missed) Jeff said it was awesome.
She got new sandals which she loves... I guess that makes her just like her Grandma Susi and Great-Grandma Astle. They loved shoes too. (I like shoes too, but I like scrap supplies more.)
She loved her pink cake with Pink frosting and all of her pink toys.
She looked very "pink of perfection" in her pink swim suit. I can't wait to put her in her pink little pool.
She had a very Pink birthday.
Jeff parents came up on Saturday and even though it was a very short trip and they left just before dark, it was still fun and nice to have them here.

Happy 1st Birthday sweet baby!!!

(I forgot my camera at the lake and so I have to wait to get the pictures from my moms camera of Emma in her adorable swim suit, which will be at least 10 days... since my mom is on her way to the Caribbean right now. LUCKY!!!
She is going with my Aunt Kathie to visit my cousin Felisha and her husband, who is in Medical school there. They are so lucky. But I know these ladies very well and they both have earned a much needed vacation.)

To move or not to move.

We have an opportunity to move into a bigger house. Rent is the same so that will not be an issue.
We know the landlord well, we know we won't have any problems getting things that break fixed, (unlike this house.)

SO I am listing the pros and cons of moving:
Pro:
more space
Less on utilities
Same ward.
Same school
has a rec room.
A bigger garage
smaller kitchen (less to clean)
bigger laundry room
a pantry
a fireplace we can actually use
pot belly stove in the rec room
swamp cooler
carpet (not great carpet, but carpet)
crappy back yard (which is perfect for boys)
Bigger master bath
my own scrap space in the rec room and not in Emma's room (which is a challenge when she needs a nap)
Less yard work
better landlord

Cons:
Boys couldn't ride their scooters or really play in the front yard
we would have to pack everything
we might be transferring any time
No central heating and air
Smaller rooms by a foot
smaller kitchen (not enough space and looks messy)
cleaning out this house

Okay, that is the list.
Any votes and what we should do.
We are still trying to find out if they will pay for the paint and we paint it.
and if they will clean the carpets.
we would like to move the swamp cooler from what would be Emma's room to the rec room.
If we can be on a month by month basis so if we get the offer to transfer we can transfer.

I am excited.
So cross your fingers....and toes... and eyes... and what ever you can cross for good luck.

We are getting close

Emma will be the Big ONE on Friday.
Yes, that is Friday the 13th.
We are planning on going to Eagle Lake and swimming.
Thankfully the weather is warming up. we were worried it would be to cold to go.
But now we can go, we just can't swim in the water.
I can't believe my baby is so big.
I hope she starts walking soon.

8 more days

There is 8 days of the school year left.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong I love my boys, but that means they will all be home.
They will all be home to mess up my house.
They will all be home to eat everything.
They will all be home to fight with each other.
They will all be home, and I will have to listen to video games.
They will all be home and I will have to hear the whinning about not being able to play video games all day.
Their room will be messy, they will be stinky, they will be wet and muddy and they will be this way all summer.
I might just lose my mind.

Alert!!!! Blog warning!!!! Alert!!!!!

NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER blog when you are PMSING!!!!!!!
Wow, I forgot what a whinner and a big boob I am when I have PMS!
and if you feel sorry for me just imagine what jeff is going through.
He should be sainted.
I am truly, honestly feeling better.
I didn't sleep well, and my back is tweaked, so i used one of jeff's pain meds for his back.
I am feeling fine... but then again it could be the pain meds talking.
just ignore the whine-fest part of my last post.

I do feel better... oh yeah baby, I love that vicodine.

Deleted Post!

I deleted this post because I was PMS-ing and now I realize how ridiculous I sounded.
Sorry for that.... I will try and remember next month!
